Tina started coaching netball 5 years ago and became a level 2 netball coach in January 2017. Prior to her coaching career, Tina has taught PE in a Secondary School in Weston-super-Mare for 16 years. Throughout this time, she has the opportunity to teach all ages. Although Tina relished the challenges of teaching, her passion for coaching and netball as led her to launch this new coaching company called Tee-Dees.
Her experience of coaching and teaching, ensures that the sessions provided by Tee-Dees are high quality with appropriate behaviour management strategies, if required. Her main focus and passion is developing the activity levels and ability of the children she coaches, along with being a positive role model at all times.
During her time as a teacher, she has taught many successful school netball teams ranging from North Somerset victors, Level 3 School Games champions and PGL Tour winners. She has also organised and entered an U16s school team into an adult’s Western Netball Summer League, where the team successfully got to the final.
Tina also coaches the U16s section of Weston Netball Club and has seen numbers grow since it started in 2019.
The long term goal is to provide a variety of sporting activities for young people to experience and engage in. Watch this space…
